Yes you can file more than one AOS simultaneously and withdraw other one once I485 is approved.

we should fax/email letters to lawmakers/senators from every angle. One way of doing this would be drafting a letter with the calculation and a quote " Just for Indians, and chinese nationality for rest of the world = 1year"

This lou dog has done much damage to our community, firing him from CNN or removing his sponsers is not going to do much. He will go to another channel and life goes on. Get this guy on our side and make him tell our story. When the dog barks point it towards enemy.

I beg to disagree - I think if you read between the lines it is quite clear that potential solutions are being discussed. A solution may be announced but NOT within the 24 hrs that we all are expecting. It may lead to a deadlock in which case the lawsuit would be one of our recourse.
I think we all got a little carried away by the 24HR time frame from Core.

Even the thread anouncing the members who got freedom this month is being drowned by these discussions. There is enough to celebrate this month...lot of our brothers / sisters have been greened...let us celebrate their freedom and forget our misseries for some time.

This is just believe and what I think is something will be good for EB community. Specially those who has MS or Higer degree from USA. It can be tough for employee of small consulting companies. But that is Reform.
Ultimately they will hike H1b quota with some tight regulations so who ever is genuine can use it.
I know some people are saying that CIS wont be able to process all app and we have to suffer from Illegal people's filling. but if they add , recapture some visa for us in their CIR bill then dates will be current for us for some 1-2 years for sure and we can go to CP route and get green card thing done. I am 100 % sure that illegal people will not go to CP route. and CP route is very quick when dates are current.

I would invest the $1000 and speed up the transfer and forget about the whole issue after firing my salvo by responding to the letter. If you get something back, great. I called uscis and they have asked me to refile I-765. They said they will issue new EAD with extended dates. Not sure how long will it take. And i dont believe issuing 3 month EAD was intentional. They probbaly wont have any idea when the 485 would be adjudicated when they approve EAD.

I was in the same situation as you when I applied. In general, there should not be a problem with MS+0.
Another alternative is to show the experience gained at your current employer in your application. For that to happen, you should've been promoted to a position in which ur exprience is 50% same as your old position, then you can get an affidavit from your manager stating this fact.
This is what we had done for my traditional labor. I believe it still holds true for PERM, suggest you talk to the company's lawyer.

The most important issue related to Retrogression is the 'per country of birth' quota. The problem of retrogression would be much less severe if this quota is abolished as it was done I believe in AC21. Can anyone confirm about this provision in AC21?

Even the president's report mentions this quota as a problem. I would like to draw attention of the admin to this. Removal of this quota should be one of our primary goals. Of course recycling of lost numbers and not counting dependants against quota are important goals. Can admin include this in the goals slide? I am planning to take this presentation when I meet the local congressman who has so far responded to my correspondence very sympathetically.

I seriously doubt the genuinity of this poster. No authority will hold a valid passport of a foreign country, no country will allow to let one in with a copy of passport heck the airline will not even allow to board without a passport.

This is the post to build up support and encourage immigration voice to plan a campaign to address current backlogs and future backlogs which will sent in after August. Please build up support instead of asking questions. It is almost obvious the situation is not gonna improve in october, but it will go worse!!!

I graduated with a Master's (MBA) from US in Dec. 06, have H1B approved from Oct. 1st 2007, through Comp. A (consultant). However, I have never worked with Comp. A, as they couldn't secure a project for me. Now, Comp. B has come forward to possibly hire me (non-consultant). How do I get my H1B transferred without the pay stubs, considering that Comp. B is a non-consulting company, and would need a very smooth transfer?

There may be members posting their thoughts and suggestions on multiple websites. Right now immigrationvoice.org is separate org and has a different approach to others that I know. This org is going to raise funds and hire professional strategist who knows how to cross a minefield and get our priorites introduced in one or other vehicle of legislation.
Everyone here on this org is:
1. Affected by retrogression.
2. Already tried individual efforts to educate/convince congress to eliminate employment based retrogression and raise GC quote for EB2, EB3.
3. Realized after defeat of provisions in S 1932 in the house that we need professional help and need to spend money, time and efforts to get it done.
While individual efforts are not bad, lobbying certainly makes a lot of difference when it comes to get our priorities stay in legislation during intense debate over immigration in general.
Please keep you valuable contributions coming in terms of your time, forum replies and money. We have raised $5000 dollars in 2 days and our goal is $100,000 for professional lobbying help and we need to raise that much in next few weeks.
