I was talking abut this from the past 1 year approx (going on the streets). Good that we have finally decided to get ourselves heard on those deaf ears.
I am in for SJ.
One more suggestion, even if we dont see too much gathering there we should not stop here & should keep doing this atleast every couple of months.

My lawyer sent I-485 docs to Vermont Service Center, which they received on 5th June but No Receipt or No Checks cashed yet.
Has anybody who sent to Vermont received any update ?

Since GC is for *future* job, why can't self-employment in same/similar occupation, under AC21 and with *projected* revenues, be enough? Do they ask for paystubs and proof of long-term commitments/contracts in EVL-RFE?

I agree with you on this kaka. I heard Ed Royce speak yesterday on how the house forced the fence bill without amnesty and how they plan on killing that bill. He even talked on on how they managed to force the president to have a pulblic ceremony to sign the bill instead of a small private one that the white house wanted. There is little hope that he and people like him will ever vote on anything that supports our requirements, even if the democrats win the house they will need lots of republican support to pass anything. Skill will always be linked to CIR.

None of this damn crap is fair. There are 3 lines in the green card queue. 1) Labor/PERM line, further subdivided on the basis of BEC, PERM, Employer willingness, exempt(NIW) etc. 2) the I-140 Line and 3) the I-485 line. These lines each have inconsistent patterns depending upon the winds of the day, a few years ago, LC/BEC lines were long, employers were less willing to sponsor green cards, and there was no I-140 PP processing, now all of a sudden PERM is there, PP of 140 came into being, and 485 became an eternal wait and country quotas came into being. For those that got screwed with BECs then PP 140 got removed when they were ready to file and now PD retrogressed into the stone age, it sure would seem like non sense for the guy who got PERM in 2 weeks, then PP 140 in 10 days and filed 485 in he July fiasco. Nevertheless you are only speaking in terms of degrees of getting screwed, since all are being done so by an unpredictable and unreliable system.

A wait of 2yrs, 5yrs or 10 yrs is immaterial, all of the above are ridiculous in EB immigration, degrees of unfairness is splitting hairs if you ask me. The dream act supporters list the senators that are on the fence, and urge them to call and I think we need to start call the main players like Reid, Schumer, Menendez to get them behind our provisions. We are all missing a point here.
Someone with a PD of 2006 who filed his/her AOS in 2006 should be far ahead in processing compared to someone with a PD of 2001(or who has been in the country for the last 20 years) but applied just a week ago.
Should USCIS hold the first case and wait for the other case to reach that stage? They can certainly do that if we don't blame them for wasting visa numbers every year.
It's not as simple as it sounds --Give GC to those old timers before the new comers!
Having said that, It certainly makes more sense to have some system which would atleast honestly attempt to be fair to the old timers.
BTW, I'm an old timer myself, 7th year in the country and a PD of 2003.
I would rather have them approve ANY case instead of wasting a single visa number.

I suspect, USCIS is NOT issuing EAD Renewals, to probable Current PD holders, any more. :D hopefully. This is a good Sign, if true. Does anybody agree with me.. Let's Party out. :)

If you can make a concerted effort and we can ensure a large number of people will actually send the flowers, it would make a great media story. A wonderful splash on the media pages. American media will eat it up. Then get one of the IV core members to actually go on the air and explain the problem.
