Folks,
I got card production email on 19th night (20th) August... got approval email on 22nd . Received welcome notice physical mail on 25th August-- So far not received Green cards nor Approval notice. As per email received it says -- Approval was mailed on 22nd AUgust. Anybody in same boat ??

Call USCIS on 1-800-375-5283. Then sequence to get the "Human" on line is 1-2-2-6-2-2-1.
They asked me to wait 90 days before calling in with questions related to Receipt notice. They are advised now that it will at least take 90 days to get the receipt notices completed.

Hi,
My employer filed my wife's and my EAD paper based application on Jul 25, 2008 (TSC Received Date). But I still haven't received the Receipt notices for the same.
Generally how long does take to get the receipt notices?
Please let me know if any has filed around same date and received the receipts?

my app reached on 7/1, Recieved receipt on 7/11 with notice date 7/7. Remember 7/4 was a holiday. 8-14 calendar days is the most common i have seen for receiving receipt. Ask your company's lawyer if the checks are cashed yet, if yes try to get the receipt # from the back of the check. When my first EAD was filed last year, our corporate lawyer had sent me image of back of the check.

Alisa, Your PD is March'07, and you could file in July'07. That was great for you. It is a bigger problem for those waiting to file. Others are theoritically in the admin process, though it would take a long time to complete. Technically visa was available for everyone in July'07,that's why all could file as it is a legal requirement for I-485 filing. Now they are just waiting to have the admin process completed.
I am aware that I was lucky (BTW, March 07 labor was my second labor. First one rotted in the BEC. And I have been here since '99). However, that doesn't change the fact that there is likely to be a 10+ year wait time for EB3 ROW. Thats my gut-feeling.
I also think that these 10+ year wait times are meaningless. In a few years, there will be some sort of CIR, and a points-based system will be instituted. At that point, there will be no distinction between those who have filed their 485s, and those who haven't.
All that we July07 EB-3 filers (India or ROW), and even EB-2 I/C, have is an EAD card until the CIR happens. If it happens next year, we are all in the same boat. If it happens in 2015, then the July 07 filers have EAD cards until then.

1. "W2 Self-employed" is an oxymoron. Self-employed option is possible through 1099. You sure can be self-employed (i.e., not on a W2) with AC21 provision, as the Yates memo clearly says.

1. W2 Self Employed simply means that one has controlling equity in the employer company. For example - I am employed by corp that is, in part, owned by me since I hold a % of shares. I get paid on W2, just like any other employee in the corp.
2. Any memo (including Yates memo) supplements the existing federal regulations. They do not replace them. In any case, memo does not have force of law. In case of contradictory info, memo must "bow" to federal regulations and court rulings.
3. I-140 is for permannet and full time job only. See Page 5 of

Removal of country limits temporarily and permanently, will both require the support of the majority of both houses of the congress. It will require as much effort to to remove country limits temporarily as it will require to remove country limits permanently.
Some folks here just wants to remove country limits till the time they get their agree card i.e. for the span of 2 years. If removal of country limits is good for EB community and America, then why only remove it for 2 years ONLY.
Such a campaign is likely to divide this community. PLEASE DO NOT divide the community by supporting this mis-directed agenda.
If country caps can be removed temporarily then they can be removed permanently. But asking for less than what key lawmakers have already proposed less than 6 months back is like shooting ourselves in the foot. PLEASE DO NOT throw others under the bus. PLEASE!!!!

This website is often frequented by members of the Senate/Congress (not the actual lawmakers themselves ofcourse, but their support staff). Do we really want them to see "highly skilled professionals" cussing left and right on them? No.
Just because the IV moderators cannot moderate this forum 24/7 does not mean that we take advantage and post garbage on here

please read the numbersusa article below. We have do the same thing...inform all members when the Senators/House Representatives field hearing in their cities/towns and volunteers/members can organize to meet them and explain our problems to them.
If it is possible we can show even documentary in the hearing which IV core team is preparing (if nt slideshow is also effective). Please come up with a strategy for this hearing......:)

I also got a lud on my I-140 on 27th of july 2008. It is an approved I-140.
Has anyone else gotten a lud on their I-140 also ?

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.
