The 245(i) cases which were filed mostly before April 31, 2001 will more or less seriously affect the pace of the visa number progression. But look at the estimate of 245(i) which is pending at the DOL. The number is staggering. There are estimated to be approximately 345,000 245(i) applications with the DOL. Without doubt, some of these applications will be denied, withdrawn or abandoned, but the prediction indicates that as many as 250,000-275,000 direct beneficiaries plus additional derivative beneficiaries of their family members (average 2.5) will move into I-140 and I-485 streams in the future.

Hello All..
Can anyone throw some light on why some cases have not been receipted so far and are pending for any action..No rejections, no receipts no cheques ..nothing..
I see guys already starting to discuss EAD and opening companise etc..
We are still waiting for the ACK fron USICS...
My case was received at NSC on 18Th July by R cook, whose name I havent seen in this frum...and no info so far..Called USICS and talked to 2nd level clerk but no receipted so far.. so they have no info..

My I-140 has approved by NSC in Apr 2006. Now I'm moved to Houston.
Now I have applied my I-485 from Houston. My lawyer send my application to NSC. Since my current residence is in TSC region my application will be transfer to TSC. So I don't know how long it will take to get the receipt#.
My application received on 07/02/2007 at NSC.

unfortunately more than 80% of backlog elemination is completed, so labor substitution even though it is removed from july 16 has already done its damage. scores of people have already done labor substitution.
How come they did not stop the substitution right away? Instead, giving it another month. Wish they gave the visa bulletin another month. :cool:

There is not much use for just fighting EB3-I. You can send a letter or lobbey and they will hear it. Thats all. There are so much discrepancies in immigration policy of USA(The impact is for just for potential immigrants not for the country) I do not think they will spend time to resolve each and every small discrepancy. There are more more severe issues in the country than resolving EB3-I. Of course that is a big issue for those who are impacted.
But the problem will be automatically resolved if STEM/and or Recapture bill is passed. That is a big picture and that will get more attention than just lobbying for EB3-I.
EB3-I 's best chance in the current context , in the order of faster results,
1. Port to EB2 , If possible
2. Lobby to change spill over distribution. USCIS has been inconsistent over the years. So we need to lobby hard and impress upon them that this year distribution algorithm is unfair .who knows it can change again next year , this time a more balanced one ..
3. Recapture effort: This is a big one and we need to support carry out the tasks assigned by IV and other biggies .
IMO, No genuinely concerned fellow mate should advise EB3-I's to support only recapture effort.

I had infopass appointment this morning at Fairfax, VA regarding FP. IO told me that generally they send out FP within 30 days of 485 receipt but if ASC is too busy then it gets delay. He asked me whether my EAD and AP are approved or not. And then he requested FP for me and mywife and said i should receive FP notice within 3 weeks. Hopefully i will get FP within next couple of weeks. Keep you guys posted about my FP notice. Happy Holidays to you all !!

Are you working for numbersusa? Do you know that it is made by white supremist who dont want any colored skin including native americans to be alive in US? Talk about your scare of getting too many people with substandard MS degrees. Do you not realize that the companies in USA knows a different in good US school and Bad one - So in nutshell the people from bad school wont get job? Do you know that there is nature's rule - Fittest Survival... So in case you are fit enough and qualified enough to get a job then you will get one, it does not matter if you are from good or bad school....
Also, looking at your thoughts, it does not appear that you are MIT or Stanford grade material, so do us all a favor and keep your thoughts to yourself....

You are definitely a MOLE in this IV Organization and the only reason they keep you on board is because this is democracy and we dont want to throw out someone who might disagree - Its about freedom of expression - But when Freedom of expression crosses the line and creates poison pill then we need to weed it out I guess.....

Are you aware of Avertising world rule that when someone does not like soemthing, they tend to tell at least 25 people about it, while when someone likes something, they might tell 1 person. In this case, this classic rule has applied beyond expectations because people who are calling are already racist who sit on their ass and expect all colored people to be their slaves and get things done for them. They want their mexican maid or indian computer programmer doing things for them but the moment they realize that these foreigners might get citizenship and be equal to them, they dont like that.... (and so do you)....So there you go....No wonder they pick up phone and dial....In any case, what better can they do?
We cannot reject numbersusa and other organizartion's ideas. As our people are suffering in retrogession some of their people and their families are impacted because of job loss in past. So we cannot tell that they do not have crediblity. They have some valid points also though some of them are absurd. But we need to understand them and try to elimimate their fears also.

My status on CRIS has changed. No emails. Its says my approval has been sent. But nothing about the card. I spoke to the CS and they said my biometrics have to be uploaded. In the mean time can I get my passport stamped?
One of my friend was in your situation. He got the I797 stating that 485 was approved. He took infopass and got the passport stamped. Hope this helps.
